I just had my final critique for color photo. I struggled with this project. I learned what came with photographing people. Getting up early every morning to photograph friends in the same building became a bit old and repetitive. I wouldn't mind coming back to this body of work because it does feel unfinished. However, it's going to be on my own time. There are other photographs I want to make this summer. These photographs I was attracted to greater than others. Below is my artist statement.

Waking up in the morning. It’s not exactly the most beautiful thing. Our first inclination is to respond. Hide it from everyone else. What we’re striving to recover from is the interaction with the bed. When we sleep, we are unconscious to our nocturnal actions. When we wake up, the evidence is there. We are the fossilized bone wrenched from the bedrock. The bed has left it’s mark and vise-versa. What would it look like to photograph someone right when they wake up? As a twin sharing the same room, these images are of us. They are my friends. Connected at the hour. In their home as well as mine...
