After cleaning out my grandparent’s house a few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to get an old sewing machine and my Papere's Pentax K1000. I have been taking advantage of all the home has to offer, which includes using my father's Netflix account. I just finished watching Unser täglich Brot (Our Daily Bread) by Nikolaus Geyrhalter. It was a beautiful rendition of what the food industry “looks” like. I couldn't stop thinking of how Geyhalter must have been influenced by Edward Burtynsky's Manufactured Landscapes. The cinematic qualities were very similar. In addition, i also couldn't stop thinking about my own work and how much of an influence this film has on me. I'm certainly inspired to work in this kind of direction. Possibly my Junior Project?
